At 7 p.m. last night, James Behany arrived at our home and we welcomed him with a Happy Family Chinese dinner.  He has this Honda XR650L with very minimal luggage.   One thing I was fascinaed about is his seal socks which is cool, breathable and water proof.  He hit some torrential rain coming in from Citra, Florida but was dry in spite of having no windshield.  He is obviously a well prepared, experienced biker.  I will take a picture of him and post it on his bio page.

At 6:30 this morning, five of us left First Coast Honda with a sending-away reception with Ken, the manager of the dealership and SKI-HI from FSDB..  The other eight bikers will join us the next few days..

Larry Hoard of the Missouri School for the Deaf Early Intervention Program has invited us to the School tomorrow night for a reception.  Rain is forecast so a contiguency plan is for the school to send a van to the hotel to pick us up.

We arrived in Monteagle, Tennessee after covering 588 miiles.  The weather was mostly overcast with temperatures ranging from 77 to 92 degrees.  As usual, Atlanta was one gigantic parking lot with us stuck in traffic for two hours.

We were so relieved to get into the foothills of the mountains in north Georgia and are enjoying the twisties.

Lou had to get a new Gold Wing yesterday in Georgia as his other bike blew some mechanical components.  Apparently, he is well pleased with his 45 MPG and his built-in GPS system.

NORTH TO ALASKA WITH ENTHUSIASM!
