Explore the glaciers and watch bears catching salmon!  Second night at King Edward Hotel.

You will see why I scheduled Hyder in the middle of July.  In years past, when I arrived at Hyder too early in July, the roads were still covered with snow and we were not able to view the glaciers.  Also, the salmon run has not begun yet.

We will take a 2-hour leisurely drive up in the mountains and you will see one of the largest glaciers in North America spread in its pristine beauty from horizon to horizon.

This has one of the only two bear observation decks in North America where you can see wild bears -- mothers and cubs -- frolic in the water catching salmon!
